CRTC failed Canadians, again. Over to you, Minister Bains
Last week the CRTC shut the door on an opportunity to bring Canadians more mobile choices and lower prices. So we are looking to Minister Navdeep Bains to step in and help affect change.
Last week, the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission (CRTC) struck a blow against Canadians by rejecting an opportunity to open the mobile market to Wi-Fi first Mobile Virtual Network Operators (MVNOs), like Sugar Mobile, and thus bring people relief from big telecom’s exorbitant cell phone plans.
As a response to the CRTC’s anti-consumer decision, OpenMedia is taking the matter to Minister of Innovation, Science and Economic Development (ISED), Navdeep Bains — who has the authority to mandate access to MVNOs.
Yesterday we reached out to Minister Bains directly, asking him to meet with OpenMedia and listen to our community’s voices. See the full letter below and make sure to add your name to demand more mobile choices at: https://act.openmedia.org/MoreChoice
