Say NO to Canada’s Censorship Plan!

Our government just unveiled a shocking plan to make Canada’s Internet one of the most censored and surveilled in the democratic world. But, together, we can stop it. Participate in the consultation before it's too late!

Notre Internet est pris au piège dans des eaux dangereusement infestées de lobbyistes. La plateforme électorale 2021 d’OpenMedia dresse un plan afin de revenir sur la bonne voie. Au travail!

Send Ian Scott an invite for patio beers to talk Internet regulation — just like he did with Bell!

At an Ottawa pub in broad daylight, the CRTC chair sat down for beers with Bell’s CEO — an official, registered lobbying meeting — just weeks after Bell filed its appeal of the CRTC’s 2019 wholesale rates. Let’s invite Ian Scott for a beer too, as this seems to be how we'd get our voices heard.

Tell the Senate: Uphold democracy, and scrutinize C-10!

The government’s outrageously flawed broadcasting Bill, C-10, just passed in the House of Commons — because our government bypassed democracy, pulling out every dirty trick in the book to get it done. But the Senate can still stop C-10, so don't miss the chance to ask them to do so!

The CRTC just screwed Canadians, and only the government can fix it.

In a shameless policy reversal, the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission (CRTC) just scrapped its own lower Internet wholesale rates from 2019 and reverted to the oppressively high 2016 rates — despite us already paying some of the highest prices in the world!

Stop Rogers from buying out Shaw!

If we don’t stop this disaster of a sale, fewer providers in the market will lead to these services getting even MORE expensive!

Call your MP and demand affordable Internet for all

We’re making sure our representatives know we’re done waiting for cheaper Internet! If enough of us flood their phone lines and voicemail, MPs will be forced to make this issue a priority

Ask your MP to fix Bill C-11 and #FixPrivacy in Canada

Our government boasted about imposing some of the highest fines for privacy violations in the world. Now we know these fines won't apply to many of Canada’s most high profile and egregious privacy incidents over the last few years. Ask your MP to amend Bill C-11 to make privacy protections stronger.
