Key government officials and industry lobbyists are about to meet in secret in Salt Lake City, Utah, to hash out an Internet censorship plan that would make it possible for entire websites and families to be kicked off the Internet.
This plan is part of an international agreement called the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) that is being crafted in secret. Over 120,000 people have called on the heads of state of the twelve powerful countries to “Say No to Internet Censorship” in the TPP.
This is our chance: we each need to take a moment to spread the word in our communities by publishing a letter in local newspapers through this easy-to-use tool.
Pro Tip: Mentioning the name of your U.S. Senator or Member of Congress in your letter makes it far more likely they'll take notice and respond.
