Only hours until a crucial deadline on the future of the open Internet. Join us now.

September 15th marks a crucial deadline for input to the U.S. Federal Communications Commission (FCC) about Big Telecom’s proposed Internet slowdown plan. And we need your help before the final cutoff for input tonight. We’ve been working around the clock to keep up with the momentum that’s built for the open Internet, and need your help to keep going. If you haven’t already signed on to the global call for net neutrality, then please do so now. Or, if you’re already part of the campaign, then please spread the word via social media. Right now, the whole world is watching. Internet users and media outlets from around the globe are paying attention to what happens in the U.S., and how it will impact the open Internet. While you or I may not live in the U.S., a lot of our favorite websites do, and what happens there will have ripple effects globally.

At the time of writing, we have less than 12 hours before the crucial FCC deadline passes, and sets a global standard for the fate of the open Internet. Now is your chance to stand up and be counted as part of the movement that made the difference. Please take this final opportunity to join us while there is still time, or spread the word on Facebook, Twitter, and Google Plus to maximize our impact.

At the end of the day, we face a simple choice: do we fight for an Internet that promotes an open society, and allows us to reach our fullest potential? Or do we allow a handful of media giants to take control of a revolutionary platform that Internet users everywhere built together?

We’re counting on you to stand up, and steer us toward the Internet that we were always promised – a level playing field that will benefit everyday users, not just deep-pocketed conglomerates.

This is what the open Internet looks like: in the past week, on OpenMedia’s Big Telecom vs. The World platform alone, over 160,000 people from over 180 countries have spoken out to stop Big Telecom’s plan to slow your favorite websites. And we’re joining over 5 million others from around the world who have spoken out through other platforms.

Now, as the hours wind down on the process in the U.S., we need to make our call to action as big as possible so that those watching closely from around the world hear our call. Please help us by signing on, and by spreading the word using the materials above.

We’re counting on you.
